Bill Brenner plans to sign a relatively new third baseman for his baseball Capilanos en route to the Palm Springs camp of Seattle Rainiers.
The Caps general manager, who left today for the south, said Ken Richardson, WIL veteran of the strong arm and potent bat, has agreed to join the local team. Richardson, who batted in 106 runs while hitting .301 for Lewiston last season, will sign his contract in California.

Broncs’ Pitcher Signs Up Again
LEWISTON, Idaho, Jan. 14—Pitcher John Marshall, who won 21 games for Lewiston of the Western International Baseball League during the 1953 season, signed a contract Thursday to play with the Broncs.
Marshall, who topped the league in strikeouts with 165 for the year, lost only 12 games.
The club also announced it has given Ken Richardson, veteran third baseman, his outright release.
A pitchers swap with Vancouver fell through, Business Manager Tom Tabor said, because Lewiston’s Manny Perez refused to go to Vancouver. Perez was to go to Vancouver in exchange for John Guldborg, who was suspended from the Capilanos in mid-season last year after a disagreement with management.
