Esks Sign Former Pioneer League Winner

Manier To Hang Edmonton Hopes on Knuckleball
EDMONTON, March 26—Signing of Larry Manier, right-hand relief pitcher, was announced Friday by John Ducey, general manager of Edmonton Eskimos of the Western International Baseball League.
Manier, a former Vancouver Capilano hurler, won three and lost nine last year. Ducey said that this summer Manier will concentrate on the knuckleball which won his 27 games against six losses for Great Falls of the Pioneer League in 1951.
