Clarence Marshall Recovering

Vancouver Pitcher Injured in Crash
BELLINGHAM, Wash., Sept. 19—One man was killed and four other persons, including former New York Yankee pitcher Clarence Marshall, were hurt when their car hit a power-line pole here early today.
Marshall, 28, is reported in serious condition in St. Luke's Hospital here. He played with the Yankees World Series champions of 1949 after moving up from Kansas City. This year, Marshall played with Hollywood of the Pacific Coast League and Vancouver, B.C., of the Western International.
Robert E. Chisolm, 24, the driver of the car, was killed.
