Jimmy Clark Gets Chance With Seattle
SEATTLE, Oct. 19—The Seattle Rainiers announced Monday the purchase of three young players from the Vancouver Capilanos of the Western International Baseball League. Terms were not disclosed.
General Manager Dewey Soirano said the trio will be given a trial at the Rainiers’ training camp next spring.
They are Jim Clark, shortstop, who hit .285 with the Caps and Victoria Tyees last season; Bob Duretto, catcher and general utility man, .270, and Jack Bukowatz, second baseman, .266.
