Vanni Signs Young Hurler For Braves
SEATTLE, Dec. 14—A strapping, 19-year-old southpaw pitcher from the high school ranks—Christie Mezich—has been signed by the Tri-City Braves of the Western International League.
Mezich, a Queen Anne High School star last year, was signed by another Queen Anne baseball star of years ago—Tri City manager Edo Vanni.
