Senators Tell New Storey

Harvey Storey Is New Manager Of Salem
SALEM, Ore., Nov. 30—Harvey Storey, a former Pacific Coast League player, has been named manager of the Salem Senators of the Western International League.
Storey, 36, last year was the playing manager of Vancouver, B.C., of the same league, but was fired after the season ended.
His hitting record with Vancouver was .343 and he led the league in fielding at third base. His batting average for 13 years in the Coast League, where he played for Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, was .310.
Storey, whose home is in Forest Grove, began his professional career with the Portland Beavers in 1935. He is married and is the father of three children.
The announcement was made by Salem’s general manager, Hugh Luby, who recently announced his resignation as playing manager.
